Delphinus is a freeware application which will allow you to control your camera exposure time through the RS-232 protocol.

Delphinus was made as a part of "Pi of the Sky" project which has been realized by Institute of Nuclear Studies, Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Electronic Systems and The Faculty of Physics of the Warsaw University

Here are some key features of "Delphinus":

· Allows control by RS232 (serial) and LPT (parallel) port
· Works fine with Canon DSLR Cameras.
· Mirror lock-up control
· Very long exposures (above 30sec.)
· Making tasks lists
· Making schedules - running tasks lists at described time/date
· External Converters (RAW,CR2,CRW to BMP, FITS, TIFF, PPM)
· Viewer and Editor (FITS, FIT, BMP, JPEG, TGA,PPM,,DLF)
· Many filters - removing background, contrast curve, Laplace, Sobel, Prewitt, etc. (full list)
· Histogram optimization (Uniform, Rayleigh, Exponential)
· FFT and frequency domain filters (high bypass, low bypass, deconvolution using PSF)
